Uplifting Trance Anthem Loop Corpus (UTALC)

The UTALC corpus gathers 100 chord loops manually encoded from Uplifting Trance songs. Chord loops are restrained to the anthem part of the song, which is the term used to designate the chorus part in songs in this genre. A loop is represented by a sequence of chords, each associated with a duration in bars, where a bar corresponds to 4 successive kicks. Chord symbols are represented in the corpus by a diatonic spelled root note {C,C#,Db … B}, an additional bass note in case of inverted chords and the chord type being systematically reduced to minor or major.
